Mobility package & Posting of drivers

On February 2, 2022, the execution of the new rules for the posting of drivers in the road transport sector began. This means that all European Member States will cooperate to control compliance with these rules in an effective and consistent manner. At this stage, the authorities already impose penalties during on-site inspections, which can reach up to €20,000 per violation.

The Driver Posting Portal (IMI) is a public interface through which road carriers submit all necessary documents which the authorized administrative authority requires, as country of posting. Applications are prepared according to the principle: 1 driver/ 1 country/ 1 application. The posting time of the drivers could be from 1 day to 6 months, with an extension possibility, if necessary.
